How YapSpan works
How it works
YapSpan turns how you live into two numbers: your biological age and your estimated life expectancy. Then it shows which habits move them most, ranked by what the studies say.
Every number is cited to the original paper. It is for reflection, not medical advice.
The Life Quiz gives your biological age and estimated life expectancy. Each topic quiz, like sleep, exercise or diet, scores one habit from 0 to 100 and shows the years it adds or costs you.
Change an answer any time and your numbers update. The Body Check and the just-for-fun quizzes keep their own scores and never change your years.
A star marks a number no study printed as is. We converted it, for example from a risk ratio into years, or placed it between two published figures.
Tap any * to see the study, its published figure, the formula we used and the assumption behind it.
Every source we cite carries a grade: High, Moderate, Low or Very low. It says how far the study design lets you trust the result. A single cohort study, for example, is graded Low.
Guidelines, official statistics and reviews are marked Not graded, with the reason.
Your answers save as you go. Sign in with your email to see your results; they save to your profile, so they follow you to other devices and the iOS app.
